Having distributed systems under control, being immediately informed about failures, logging all incidents - that's what Gipsy IP/Link has been designed for by the Aachen based connectivity specialist Gesytec. The compact embedded PC includes two serial interfaces for capturing of device data and can be accessed from distance via its Ethernet connection.

Including the software required for data capturing and communication, the Gipsy IP/Link realizes monitoring, logging and pre-processing of device data. Information is made available to central systems via an http server, in a local networks as well as via Internet. For poorly accessible sites even a GSM connection can be established using an external GSM modem at the device's serial interface.
Gipsy IP/Link is a compact top hat rail device with low power consumption and without movable components, subject to wear and tear. The Gipsy IP/Link standard version includes 16 Mbytes RAM and 16 Mbytes DiskOnChip memory. Variants with up to 64 Mbytes RAM and 32 Mbytes DiskOnChip memory are available. In addition, the memory capacity can be considerably extended from 16 up to 512 Mbytes by pluggable DiskOnChip modules.
