The GesySense Thermo-Sensor measures in fixed intervals the surrounding temperature with an accuracy of 0.3 °C and transmits it to the receiver. The measuring range is between -35 °C and +55 °C. Within this range the radio system adapts itself to the environmental conditions, that a temperature dependent drift of the transmitter is compensated. A calibration of the temperature measurement is not necessary.
This wireless temperature sensor is supplied by a 3.6 V battery. Running at a sensible measurement cycle of 5 minutes the replaceable battery will operate at least 5 years. Even 10 years seem realistic. Along with measured value the sensor transmits the current battery charge. Thus a potential failure can be detected early.
The compact radio device with inside antenna and battery supply can be mounted at any pace where a wire would only be bothering. Different snap-fit adapters are available for mounting the modules. Mounting to chest freezers and back wall chillers is unproblematic.
The flat GesySense module (heights < 20 mm) is robust to mechanical strain and due to the mounting adapter blocked against simple removal. Its ABS material is food-safe. The sanitizable housing is splash water protected and can be installed in humid environments.
