Embedded World 2015
IoT at every corner! Great interest in EPOS by Gesytec. DELTA 2000 fits may applications.
The "Internet of Things" was the theme of this year’s Embedded World, Nuremberg. Very striking here was the width of interpretation of this topic: From "… so just link the sensors to Wi-Fi " to "… and you will quickly bring your data to the cloud" much could be heard. However, integral and sound concepts were the exception. And that’s where EPOS scored with the visitors. The transfer from the local to the global level of a communication concept between intelligent automation nodes proven in many industries, as it can be realized with EPOS, convinced the expert audience. Likewise did the focus on using small and economic microprocessors.
At a trade show can be surprised again and again, for which purposes a reliable embedded platform will be sought. Looking for a suitable hardware for their intended applications many visitors found the appropriate cost-effective solution with availability over the next 10 years in the DELTA 2000. But even if such a device, rich in interfaces, has already proven itself in many applications, a very low consumption of less than 3 W may be too much for some. Even a versatile device Made in Germany cannot fulfil every requirement.
