Future of Gesytec LON Products: Important Customer Information
Dear Gesytec LON Partner,
The last-time-buy (LTB) period for several Gesytec LON products has ended. An additional decision period was granted until August 15.
Based on customer feedback and the resulting order volumes, it has become clear that most customers plan to phase out LONWorks technology in the medium term. In parallel, key components used in Gesytec’s LON technology, including transceivers originally supplied by Echelon/Renesas, have also been discontinued.
Under these conditions, long-term planning and inventory buildup for an increasingly unpredictable market is not feasible. Gesytec therefore intends to discontinue its LON business in the foreseeable future.
Continuation Options for Committed Customers
By exception, Gesytec can continue to supply certain LON products under clearly defined conditions:

Products, including customer-specific variants, may be supplied for the period 2026 up to a maximum of 2029, provided that binding, non-cancelable orders or reliable forecasts covering the entire period are submitted no later than mid-2026.

This option applies to products based on Gesytec LON technology (VNI assemblies) that have not been discontinued at the time of agreement.

For selected OEM customers, individual agreements may also be considered for LON products containing original Neuron chips.
All continuation options are subject to component availability and require explicit confirmation by Gesytec.

Deliveries can only be made while stocks last.

OEM development and new LON product designs are no longer offered.

No further hardware developments or redesigns will be carried out, except for necessary software maintenance or mandatory OEM-specific adjustments.
In brief: Gesytec remains available for customers who make a clear and binding commitment.
