Future of Gesytec LON Products: Important Customer Information
Dear Gesytec LON Customers,
The Last Time Buy (LTB) phase for several Gesytec LON products ended two months ago.
We had granted an additional grace period until August 15 for your consideration.
Unfortunately, the outcome is as we had anticipated. It has become clear that most customers will gradually move away from LONWorks.
This is evident from the clear statements by several customers regarding how long – or how briefly – they plan to continue using LON products, as well as from the relatively small order volumes received.
As we have already communicated in our previous news updates, we are obliged to take a close look at the overall LONWorks situation to avoid “riding a dead horse.” In addition, our own LON technology still relies on transceivers from Echelon/Renesas, which have also been discontinued.
A long-term planning approach, including maintaining component stock for a business that can no longer be reliably forecasted, cannot be our objective. Therefore, we will have to discontinue our LON business in the foreseeable future.
We can offer the following exceptions for the coming years:

Products, including customer-specific versions, that will be ordered in significant quantities from 2026 up to a maximum of 2029.
Condition: firm, non-cancellable orders covering the entire period must be placed no later than mid-2026. -
A few selected Gesytec LON modules (V-series boards) that have historically been ordered by many customers.
Please note:

There will be no further developments or redesigns of LON products, except for possible adjustments to operating software.

All LON products with original Neurons are discontinued and will only be available while stock lasts.

All LON products based on Gesytec’s own LON technology will only be deliverable until the end of 2026.

As of now, we no longer offer OEM developments for LON.

In general, we can only supply these products as long as our inventory of LON components permits.
