Gesytec is charter member of LonMark China
World-wide used and well-known LonWorks System for intelligent and decentralized automation enters the Asian market. This is emphasized by founding a LonMark China. The Foundation was joined by chinese enterprises and by Echelon Corp., San Diego California, but also by Gesytec GmbH, Aachen. The foundation of LonMark Interoperability Association in China was announced during a press conference on March 29th.
Since its foundation in 1994 the LonMark International is represented in Europe and America. Providing generally accepted standards for devices and software LonMark encourages interoperability, which ensure an open system.
In China LonMark starts with 10 members. One of the charter members is Gesytec GmbH, Aachen, one of the European Lon pioneers. Gesytec is specialized in products and services for automation purposes with LonWorks and embedded PC. In the range of automation of LonWorks
networks and data communication the enterprise’s Easylon products are well-known. For Gesytec the foundation of LonMark China is a chance to break into the Asian market. In China Gesytec is represented by its distributor Westlon Technologies, Chengdu. Westlon is specialized in distributing of industrial control systems and the development as well as the integration of intelligent automation systems. Westlon distributes Gesytec’s Easylon Products in China since 2004.
The foundation press conference quickened great interest: Over 70 Lon interested enterprises participated to catch up on the advantages of a LonMark membership. Also many international active enterprises like Siemens, Honeywell and T.A.C. observed the foundation in China.
