LON Module for Fire Shutters

The Easylon 1/0 22 AD from LonWork specialist Gesytec GmbH, Aachen, Germany operates thermally activated fire shutters and control airflow regulators for the Lon network. The reason the I/O coverage of the compact module has 2 digital and 2 analog I/Os is quite simple: in buildings controllers and shutters usually form one unit which when regulated by the input and outlet air also always work as a pair. In this respect, due to reasons of economy, a “twin module” is deployed for this purpose.

The connection of the fire shutters takes place over two floating digital inputs. These are represented by network variables on the LonWorks level. A cycle status transmission can be set by the configuration properties. All settings can be made individually for each channel. The airflow regulators are connected via a 0-10 volt interface. The Easylon I/O 22 AD provides two analog I/Os respectively with an input and output 12-bit resolution as well as two relays to switch the regulator. This is also carried out by the configuration properties which also allow time monitoring and offer diagnostic tools. Naturally, the network interface fulfils LonMark standards. In addition to the node object, two objects exist for each fire shutter and airflow regulator. Besides these standard applications project specific options are possible on request.
